
Creating Links recognize that persons with disabilities and their families require innovative, responsive and flexible respite services that meet their individual needs in order to support positive family relationships.
At Creating Links, respite service is provided through the following programs:
Children’s Flexible Respite Options – individual 1:1 flexible respite for children 1-18yrs with disabilities and high support needs
Kids@ Creating Club – respite for children with disabilities aged 5 – 12 yrs
The program operates on a Saturday from 9.30am – 3.30pm, and accesses local community venues such as parks and recreational centres.
Youth Links- Weekly social group for young persons with disabilities 12 – 18 yrs with mild – moderate intellectual disabilities. The program utilizes age appropriate community venues and centre based activities throughout the sessions.
Young Adult Club- Social support for young adults with disabilities with mild -moderate intellectual disabilities and low support needs aged 18 – 28yrs.
Supported Leisure Program – Respite and recreational support for persons aged 18-65yrs with moderate intellectual disabilities.
A community access based program that offers a range of diverse social and recreational activities such as group excursions, music and craft groups, and individual community access support.
