Women’s Domestic Violence Court Assistance Program

The Bankstown Women’s Domestic Violence Court Assistance Scheme can assist in the application of AVOs through either the local police or Chamber Registrar, and will support applicants in court from initial mention onwards. The program operates at Bankstown Local Court Thursdays from 9:00am and provides support in multiple community languages.

Support workers of this scheme may provide:

• Information regarding domestic violence and AVO’s
• A safe place at Bankstown Local Court on your AVO Return Dates
• Support during court proceedings
• Organise legal representation
• Assist with location of crisis accommodation and relevant services
